Position:
Live in Butler/Houseman/Driver
Location: Tribecca, NY
Schedule: 5 days per week on a flexible schedule to be decided in advance with two consecutive days off. The working day will usually begin around 6:30 am.
Salary: DOE $80,000 - $90,000 negotiable for a truly exceptional candidate
Accommodation: Private bed and bath will be provided within the principal residence.
A live-in Butler/Houseman/Driver is sought to provide a discreet and exacting personal service to a UHNW family on a day-to-day basis at their home in Manhattan, NY.
This is an all-encompassing role and responsibilities are varied. The ideal candidate will be flexible, hard-working, and adaptable.
Specific duties include:
Occasional driving duties to include driving the principal to/from the office, meetings, appointments, the airport, and other journeys as required.- Running errands; including grocery and other household shopping
- Oversight of the principal’s property, organizing and co-ordinating vendors for regular planned, and reactive, maintenance.
- to include but not limited to light self-maintenance such as the replacement of light bulbs, etc.
- Light Houseman duties – cleaning and tidying up the apartment.
- Serving meals and drinks, and performing waiter services as necessary to the principals, and guests
- Caretaking of the family’s dogs, including walks, administration of medications and monthly treatments, and the booking of veterinary appointments.
- Light IT support such as updating iPads, rebooting Wi-Fi, and signing into streaming accounts on the TVs.
- Care of the vehicle fleet of 2 vehicles. You will ensure they are kept fuelled, clean, adequately stocked with water, and well maintained.
Person specs:
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail- Excellent sense of direction and knowledge of the tri-state roads
- Fluent command of English in both verbal and written communication
- An honest and trustworthy individual with a can-do attitude
- Extensive experience in a similar position within a private family residence with contactable references
- Must be flexible and adapt to the family’s needs.
- Confident, professional, and welcoming personality
- A clean driving license is a prerequisite.
