Job Summary:
RMD Logistics has an opening for a Logistics Operations Manager. This position is responsible for the leadership of all logistics activities related to material receipt, shipment, inventory accuracy, strategic warehouse management, and distribution operations at the Missile Integration and Test Facility (ITF) in Tucson, AZ, as well as being the principal liaison with the 3PL provider supporting the site. In this highly visible role, you will lead a team of front-line leaders to provide logistics support to 22 programs across 7 operating factories. This position will focus on accurate and compliant execution of velocity and efficiency within the operation. It will support all Programs with contract execution for government and company material and property. This position requires constant coordination with numerous factories and programs to meet all material management expectations supporting inbound flow and outbound shipments. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and organizational skills necessary to monitor and control all inbound and outbound in accordance with Raytheon and Government instructions and regulations. A familiarity with Raytheon’s SAP based business management system (PRISM) and FIORI movement system will help facilitate disposition and movement of material.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Supervise a team of front-line leaders.
- Define, monitor, prioritize and track performance of various Logistics processes.
- Ensure employees comply with all contract provisions, safety, security, work instructions and required training.
- Monitor and approve timecards for assigned employees.
- Coordinate factory requirements with operations factory managers, production planners, warehouse inventory production specialists, traffic administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure timely inbound/outbound material flow.
- Coordinate and support inventory research as needed to support reconciliation efforts.
- Work with other functional organizations, and plant sites, providing direction and guidance to internal customers regarding RMD procedures.
- Root Cause analysis of process gaps and related corrective actions.
- Review and revision of existing processes to include process mapping, training, work instructions, performance metrics with defined control limits.
- Work effectively across RMD functional organizations.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Value:
- Demonstrated people management/leadership skills, experience engaging large, complicated teams.
- Experience working with compliance or similar auditing environments. Preferably within the US Government, the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), the DSS, or Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
- Superior understanding of quality-based methodology used in forming analytical, root cause corrective action applications.
- Previous material accountability experience across multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Understands metrics methods; development/execution of performance criteria.
- Familiarity with Government regulations.
- Experience working in a cross functional and/or bargaining unit environment.
- Understanding of regulations relative to handling, processing, and movement of dangerous or sensitive materials including CFR, DFARS, FAR, ITAR, DoD and DSS. Understanding of hazardous materials classifications, specifically class 1 compatibility rules in a DOD or Defense contractor setting.
- Ability to enroll and pass Certified Supply Chain Professional certification within one year.
- Must pass Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) background screening.
