Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assists and monitors daily tasks in the department for small parcel and LTL shipments.

· Learn and leverage JD Edwards ERP system.

· Processes international shipments and communicates with customers, freight forwarders, and brokers.

· Provides sales staff with tracking numbers, shipment status and proof of delivery. Assists with complaint follow ups.

· Provide shipping quotes for inbound and outbound shipments

· Work with other supervisors to improve departmental interaction

· Issues call tags to customers for returned goods

· Checks freight bills for accuracy, stamps and attains authorization for payment

· Negotiates/assists with traffic vendors for discounts and pricing agreements

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or Associates degree required

· 3 or more years of shipping experience

· 1 or more years of management experience

· Must be able to obtain in house forklift certification

· JD Edwards experience beneficial

· Or as Management sees fit
