We currently have as an opening for a Logistics Supervisor who will work from 11am- 7pm.This position requires an "n person presence" in Alsip. The successful candidate will coordinate all activities related to inbound and outbound freight and all material handling activities in the plant.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervise logistics operations to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to the destination.
• Support the overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an optimized logistic network and operations.
• Oversee daily operations for inventory, distribution, transportation, or other processes that support the achievement of organizational goals and KPI's for product delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor teams and vendors' adherence to service level targets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues. Ensures compliance with all regulations governing transportation of goods.
• Utilize systems to input and obtain workflow status and information and to identify problems in operations.
• Communicate shipping conflicts with Shift, Layout Supervisors and Sales Management.
• Provide training for new and current employees on work, safety and quality process procedures.
• Asses employee performance, provide timely feedback, coaching and necessary discipline.

Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain or operations management in a minimum of five years experience in a shipping, warehouse or logistics environment. A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience is preferred.
