Job Title: Machine Operator

Responsible To: Production Manager

The Machine Maintainer works as a skilled labor in the following departments: Tube Expansion, Hairpin Tube Machine or Punch Press. The worker should be able to lift enough weight (50 lbs) to perform his/her job. Ability to operate a tube expander, hairpin tube machine, punch press, measure items with measuring tape. Ability to troubleshoot and performer minor repairs and adjustments to tube expanders, hairpin machines or punch presses.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Must communicate well with Supervisor
• Must be able to understand written and verbal Job Instructions
• Must be able to operate equipment as specified in his/ her area
• Must understand the Quality and Environmental Policies Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training
• Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
• Troubleshoot problems and report issues
• Must work well in team environment
• Performs all assignments in accordance with safety specifications, instructions, and requirements
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
• Responsible for safety and quality throughout production
• Responsible for notifying a Production Lead or Supervisor when they step off the line to ensure safety and quality standards are maintained
• Performs other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager

Physical Demands

• ·Ability to work at a consistent, fast paced cold environment in a repetitive fashion
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to stand for ten (10) or more hours

Qualifications

• Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
• Ability to accurately use Tape Measure
• Understand basic mechanical principles

Preferred

• Bilingual Spanish/English: a plus but not required
• High School diploma or equivalent
• ForkLift Cert: a plus but not required

Compensation based on Experience

Shift: 2:30 pm -11:00 pm
Training will be conducted during morning shift (7:00 -3:30 pm) for approximately 2-4 weeks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
