JOB SUMMARY:

The Machine Operator will assist with immediate production needs, ensuring that all work is completed with the highest safety and quality standards. Machine Operators must be highly motivated, and task oriented to keep up with the demands of production with an aim to increase profitability and customer satisfaction.

COMPENSATION:

$14 - $16 per hour, based on experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate and maintain food processing equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
• Report unusual problems or conditions to the supervisor
• Make a strong effort to achieve or exceed expected production output
• Willingness to learn other areas of the plant and transition from one position to another based on the needs of the business
• Assist in all areas of production as needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience a plus

JOB SKILLS:

• Ability to work in a cold, wet, fresh meat packing environment with temperatures ranging from 35 – 40° F
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours with inconsistent ending times due to business needs
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to frequently move objects weighing up to 40-75 pounds and to work in very hot or very cold conditions
• Experience using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts a plus
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

JOB DETAILS:

This role is a regular employee, full-time hourly position that is normally scheduled:

1st Shift:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm or until orders are completed

2nd Shift:
Monday through Friday, 4:00 pm – 12:30 am

Overtime work may be required based on the needs of the business. Overtime pay is 1.5 x the base rate for all hours worked over 40 within a work week.
