Machine Operator / Assembly
Assemblers are responsible for building surface maintenance equipment according to blueprints and written specifications. Some essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and schematic drawings
- Assembles component parts for products according to established specifications, schedules, and standards of quality.
- Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners.
- Strong mechanical aptitude;
- Previous related manufacturing experience;
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and /or production instructions;
- Ability to use various hand tools, power tools and measuring devices;
- Previous machine operator experience of 3 years.
- Physical ability to work in awkward positions for extended periods of time and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Fits, trims, aligns, and adjusts parts and components.
- Attaches hardware and seals assembly.
- Solders, lugs, routes, and ties electrical components.
- Calibrates unit according to specification.
- Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies.
- Tests installed parts and accessories for leakage, continuity, and functionality.
