As a Management and Program Analyst, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing other agencies with innovative services for the printing, publishing, storage, and distribution of digital content.

GPO is located in Washington, D.C. just blocks from the U.S. Capitol and one block from Union Station which is a mixed-use, intermodal transportation and shopping center serviced by MARC, VRE, Amtrak, and Metro Red Line trains.

Responsibilities included:

• Assembles, installs, maintains, and repairs all types of printing, binding and all other industrial machinery and equipment (i.e., printing, bindery, industrial trucks, power plant and air conditioning units,
• Welds, cuts, and brazes, manufactures, repairs, and rebuilds parts and items of equipment from raw stock of different metals and metal alloys such as stainless steel alloys, aluminum, titanium, magnesium and other materials
• such as rubber, plastics, and nylon through the use of conventional or Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tools and precision handwork
• Sets up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools such as lathes, vertical and horizontal boring mills; bench, plain, and universal milling machines; shapers; planers; internal and external grinders; thread cutters; and radial drills.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, work orders, models of parts to be made, or other specifications.
• Performs machinist-specific preventative maintenance of production equipment, maintains, and organizes spares and tools in good working condition, and maintains the machinist requirements to support the Preventative Maintenance Program.
