Job Summary:
Maintenance Assistant must have a general knowledge of machine operations, mechanical repair, and an eye for detail. Must be able to lift 65 lbs. on a regular basis and work in a hot environment. Basic electrical experience of 220 volt and 480 volts electricity and knowledge of crane operations a plus.
Shifts:
- 3:00am-11:00am Monday-Friday plus occasional weekend hours. Must be flexible for maintenance cycles and OT.
- Shifts from 6:00pm-2:00am or 10pm-6:00am might be available and earn a $2 per hour night shift bonus/differential!

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in full pack cycle
- Remove used packs from machines and install new packs
- Clean and rebuild packs for next maintenance cycle
- Operate an oven for burning out pack pumps and filter housings
- Troubleshoot heaters and temperature probes
- Assist in performing routine and scheduled maintenance services
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors
- Inspect or test vehicles or equipment for damage and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made
- Repair, rebuild or replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts
- Use forklifts and cranes to move materials
- Work with spin shafts and gear boxes
- Follow all Safety requirements and maintain cleanliness of work areas
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Must have a general knowledge of machine operations and basic mechanical repair
- Maintenance background is preferred
- Must be available for call in for maintenance emergencies
- Must be able to work overtime on maintenance cycle days
- Must have full body motion, to include bending, lifting and climbing of steps without assistance
- Must be able to lift 65 lbs.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
- Must be able to drive a forklift truck or be willing to learn
- Must be able to follow verbal/written instructions for maintenance procedures
- Must be familiar with electrical/battery/air operator power tools and hand tools
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
