The maintenance planner/scheduler is responsible for making sure maintenance technicians have the tools and parts they need to complete work orders. In this position the maintenance planner is also responsible for scheduling maintenance in a way that minimizes equipment downtime and impact on production. The key activities of the job include scheduling planned and preventative maintenance, ordering parts, managing maintenance parts inventory, and management of the CMMS. The Maintenance Planner will collaborate with the maintenance techs to complete scheduled maintenance.

This position is the owner/manager of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Job responsibilities:

• Order, stock, distribute, and manage maintenance parts inventory.
• Coordinate with production to schedule planned maintenance for production machinery.
• Manage CMMMS.
• Completely coordinate preventative and planned maintenance for machinery including ordering parts, putting together maintenance kits, and scheduling maintenance personnel to complete the project.
• Plan for preventative maintenance on all machinery.
• Manage parts inventory for maintenance department. Order, receive and maintain inventory.
• Manages preventative maintenance projects by ordering parts, putting together kits with all required parts, coordinating down time with production scheduler, arranging technician time, and documenting in CMMMS.
• Report on analytics for maintenance department including reliability, efficiency and associated reports.
• Assists with troubleshooting maintenance issues. Assists with maintenance projects as determined by maintenance manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous experience with CMMMS required.
• Experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Knowledge of standard office systems (fax, telephone, computer).
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of CMMMS demonstrated through ability to proactively manage parts inventory for maintenance department.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain excellent professional relationships with team members.
• Mathematic Skills: Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Previous Manufacturing Environment strongly preferred

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Standard office environment and position. Must be able to use computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
• Position requires sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
