Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) Buyer (non-mechanical)

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Work Location: Warrensburg Facility - Warrensburg, MO

We have an exciting opportunity at our Warrensburg Facility for a hands-on problem solver who is excited about taking Motus to the NEXT level. The Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) Buyer will be responsible for maintaining a plant parts system that ensures the necessary parts are on hand to minimize production downtime and maintenance repair time while controlling the spare parts inventory value. In addition, this role will work with the with the operations department and maintenance leads to develop weekly maintenance schedules to facilitate an efficient plant maintenance operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and manages maintenance schedules for the plant
  • Creates and maintains excel spreadsheets for data entry and inventory accountability
  • Inputs and manages maintenance management system
  • Manages spare parts inventory system. This includes entering or supervising the entry of all parts transactions such as purchase orders, issues, returns, and inventory adjustments
  • Maintains accurate inventory records and perform periodic cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Manages the work order system. This includes entering the entry of all work order transactions and providing the required reports to management and maintenance
  • Works to minimize overall inventory value and stock out events
  • Helps develop and maintain procedures for parts and work orders and ensure the plant compliance with these procedures
  • Responsible for maintenance data capture (losses, cost, breakdown analysis, tag resolution.)
  • Implement and define with Assistance Engineering and Foreman the right PM implementation plan
  • Issues, receives, and stores hand tools and other equipment & Maintains records of tool use
  • Keeps an inventory of tools, inspects tools and equipment for wear or defects, and order new equipment when needed
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in Microsoft Office and MRP/MES Systems
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of MRO and repetitive purchasing
  • Incumbent will be responsible to releasing product to make production schedule/customer requirements
  • Ability to lift 30lbs and be able to complete requisitions for tools and machine parts
  • Assisting Buyer with purchases of all MRO products for the facility

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to perform work responsibilities safety and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel - required
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional preferred
