Great Opportunity for a mechanically inclined maintenance employee with experience in a manufacturing environment.

Description:

This position will be a trainee while learning all the responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician working on injection and compression molding presses and lines.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with troubleshooting, repair, modifying and performing preventative maintenance on all hydraulic systems, electrical units, controls, components, and related wiring

• Adhere to all safety regulation

• Assist withtooling maintenance

• Accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices

• Operate mobile equipment, including forklift trucks, and scissor lifts

• Report any food safety and quality problems or concerns to the Plant Quality Manager

• **Qualifications:

• Mechanical ability with a desireto learn the unique skills necessary to maintain and troubleshoot injection and compression presses and otherplant equipment

• Experience working on manufacturing equipment and mobile equipment is a plus.

• Semi‐skilled in equipment maintenance.

• Good trouble shooting skills, ability to diagnose and complete repairs in emergencies

• Ability to take direction as well as be self-motivated and work alone under high-pressure situations

• Flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed

• Must possess attention to detail and be able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.

• Knowledge of basic computer skills.

**Physical Requirements and Climate:

• Periods of standing over 2/3 of time spent on the job.

• Walking, squatting, stooping, reaching, talking/hearing, and climbing/balancing 1/3 to 2/3 of time spent on the job.

• Using hands to finger, handle, or feel over 2/3 of time spent on the job.

• Periods of lifting/carrying under 1/3 of time spent on the job with occasional lifting/carrying of up to 50 pounds.

• Periods of crouching/crawling/kneeling/bending under 1/3 of time spent on the job.

• Vision requirement includes close vision, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

• Heavy physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a productive/technical nature under general supervision in which occasionally work is checked while in progress and work is reviewed upon completion.

• Outdoors and indoor shop environment with adequate ventilation and exposure to noise levels at or above 85 decibels, for which Personal Protective Equipment is provided.

• Production environment contains high voltage electrical devices. Some work spaces may be awkward and/or confining.

• Periods of working above ground level where the possibility of falling exists (i.e. on ladders or scaffolding at heights above 20 feet)
