The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment; gear and sprocket drives, motors, pneumatics, PLC’s, conveyor systems, loading systems, production machines and equipment and overall facility maintenance. This position will provide a wide range of maintenance support with a special emphasis on production lines and processing equipment.

In this role the qualified candidate will be responsible for learning and execution of all equipment set-ups, change-overs, as well as working with Maintenance Personager to cover, schedule, and execute equipment maintenance. This candidate will thrive within our fast paced production environment, while successfully practicing and meeting all OSHA, GMP, SQF, HACCP, and FDA requirements within their role. This Full-Time position’s pay will be commensurate with experience, and individual benefits are available.

Responsibilities

  • Provides preventative support on production equipment, simple to complex in nature.
  • Able to make adjustments to machines to maximize uptime.
  • Perform preventative maintenance according to company guidelines.
  • Provide technical support on production equipment as needed to insure that lines are in operation at all times.
  • Participate in the coordination and completion of capital projects that maximize the capacity of the facility. Work with contractor / vendors to complete projects.
  • Perform technical problem solving and troubleshooting for all equipment and processes.
  • Overhaul and or replace equipment parts and motors as needed. Performs technical tasks involving hydraulics, pneumatics.
  • Responsible for aiding in startup process to ensure equipment is operating correctly.
  • Plan and complete the PM Program and other maintenance-related programs.
  • Contains a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assist in resolving issues and fostering Continuous Improvement

Work Experience

  • Industrial maintenance experience preferred, preferably within a manufacturing facility
  • Proven ability to successfully meet customer and management deadlines.
  • Highly organized, a self-starter that can work with little direct supervision.

  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Results-oriented, process improvement focused.
  • Ability to work cross functionally to achieve outstanding results.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in manufacturing including electrical and computer programing knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
