Scope of the Job

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, responsible to performing all preventative and corrective maintenance functions in the UFJHI off-campus facilities. Responsibilities are limited to those items that are designated as “Tenant Responsibilities” in the respective office leases. Reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Essential Functions

1. Maintains patient privacy.

2. Performs all preventative and corrective maintenance functions in all UF satellite clinics, within scope of responsibility. Maintenance functions include but are not limited to minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, installing locks, hanging wall fixtures and assembly of new furniture and equipment.

3. Ensures scheduled maintenance is performed in a timely manner at all clinics.

4. Uses safe procedures while performing duties.

5. Notifies Maintenance Manager of needed purchases and supply items utilizing appropriate vendors and procedures.

6. Develops and maintains excellent communication with Maintenance Manager, Ambulatory Administrators and Office Managers to ensure routine and emergency maintenance is scheduled and performed on an acceptable schedule.

Secondary Functions

Adhere to all regulatory requirements such as, JCAHO, CLIA, HIPAA, etc.

Skills

Ability to interact with variety of providers and staff. Ability to work dependably with minimum supervision. Working knowledge of common hand tools. Must have good manual dexterity with hands.

Valid Florida Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance.(Ambulatory Services Only)

Experience

General working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, general carpentry and minor building repair. Ability to read and interpret instructions.

Education & Certifications

High School diploma required.

Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required for daily travel to satellite offices. (Ambulatory Services Only)
