Management Analyst
Job description
The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) and Department of Human Services (DHS) merged on July 1, 2022 to form one agency, the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). We are seeking a Management Analyst 2 to join the team at the Glenwood Resource Center (GRC) in Glenwood, which offers a continuum of care to Iowans experiencing intellectual disabilities. Employees are eligible for a $1,500 retention payment for a commitment of 7 pay periods (14 weeks) and are eligible for renewal at the end of each 7 pay periods until the facility closes. The Management Analyst 2 provides outcome measures and statistical data for the facility. Some job duties include:
- Develop and operate an outcome measurement and information center.
- Participate in the Quality Council to evaluate outcome indicators and performance measure data.
- Manage the QM data system.
- Serve on committees and planning groups as directed by Supervisor, participating and providing reports and information as directed and requested by the group.
- Develop and prepare an annual report that includes information useful to the facility administrator, leaders in DHS, the Legislator, Governor, county staff and the public in providing better support and services to people when they request it.

Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree and two years of full-time work experience in progressively responsible management analysis.
- A total of six years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where one year of full-time work experience as a management analyst equals 30 semester hours of education.
- A total of six years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where 15 semester hours of accredited college or university graduate-level course work in business administration, industrial management, statistics, natural science, or closely related fields equals six months of full-time experience.
- Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes experience equal to 12 months of full-time work as a Management Analyst 1.

Within a period of time after hire, as determined by the appointing authority, persons in this class may be required to obtain one or more of the following certificates, licenses, or endorsements:
- A government vehicle operator's license.
