JOB SUMMARY:
The Store Manager (SM) is responsible for all in-store sales and customer service activities and is in charge of all store operations when the owner/General Manager is away. The SM ensures all call-in and walk-in customers receive excellent service and that a high percentage of call-in and walk-in prospects are converted to loyal customers. The SM works closely with the production and outside sales staff to ensure client loyalty and operational efficiency. The SM also works closely with the owner/General Manager on budgeting, strategic planning and special projects. The SM must be willing and able to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as the business grows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver revenue, profit and customer satisfaction targets.
- Hire, train and lead in-store sales staff if necessary.Manage staff scheduling to ensure high levels of customer service within budget. Conduct annual performance reviews.
- Ensure prompt and professional response to all walk-in customers and telephone inquiries to determine product needs, provide recommendations, generate quotes and obtain orders. Consult with prospective new customers on selection of products which supports their marketing plans and objectives.
- Maintain an organized, clean and professional store appearance at all times. Ensure showroom promotes the scope of product offerings and is refreshed regularly.
- Ensure all quotes, work orders and invoices are completed timely, accurately and thoroughly utilizing the appropriate software and/or documents. Obtain customer approval on work orders as required.
- Manage fulfillment process from receipt of customer order to product delivery to customer.
- Stay updated on supplier offerings, programs and new products.
- Guide the scheduling of jobs. Work collaboratively with the production and outside sales staff to ensure customer jobs are done timely and accurately.
- Ensure BMS/CRM applications are maintained with accurate customer, prospect and product data.
- Implement effective marketing strategies within the store and online in collaboration with sales staff and owner/General Manager.
- Ensure all customer payments are received and processed timely and properly. Manage accounts receivable/DSO within agreed targets.
- Assist with sales and customer activities outside the store as requested.
- Cross train in other areas of the store to maintain a fully functioning store at all times. The SM will be trained on digitizing setup, basic embroidery, heat press and vinyl cutter.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- At least two years of experience in a fast-paced customer-facing environment with track record of high performance. Previous experience with customized products &/or recurring customers is a major plus.
- Experience using common software applications including the Microsoft Office Suite, POS systems and CRM programs.
- Possess a good understanding of basic sales, marketing and profit-management tactics.
- Excellent communication, customer service and conflict management skills in-person and over the phone.
- Must have the desire to learn new things and like hands on work.
- Must be proficient in English usage including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proofreading.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time as needed to serve customers effectively.
- Must be able to use the computer and telephone for long periods of time.
- Able to lift 50 pounds
