Position Summary:

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Manager to mentor, coach, motivate and supervise employees.
• Lead by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
• Comply with Agency policies and Donated Goods Retail standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and the Agency’s safety and security policies and procedures.
• Performs all duties of the store leadership team.
• Prepare and submit reporting and daily activity reports are required in a timely manner.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
• Work closely with Payroll, Benefits, IT, and other partners to help facilitate proper onboarding and offboarding employees in our systems.
• Partner with the Safety and Asset Protections teams to support cross-functional needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred/Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Associate degree or completion of related retail management course work preferred.
• 2 years of experience in a supervisory role of 20 or more employees and /or demonstrated success in a DGR leadership position with completion of Goodwill assigned training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coach and tactfully assist fellow employees.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and organize work.
• Critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.

Position Specifics:

• Works in a climate-controlled retail or production environment most of the time but will be exposed to airborne particles such as dust, mold, dirt, pollen as well as extreme heat and cold.
• Open scheduling availability is required to meet the needs of the business. Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Works 45 hours per week or more as required.
• Moderate noise level.
• Occasional travel required.
