The Manager of Cancer Certified Tumor Registrar CTR will be working for a hospital that is part of a growing and financially stable non-profit health system. The medical center has been serving highly diverse 1.5 million residents in surrounding communities with a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services for over a century.

The Manager of Cancer Data Registry will oversee major Cancer Data Services functions for all campuses of the hospital. The Certified Tumor Registrar Manager will be responsible for case acquisition and suspense; medical record chart orders; case abstracting and data entry; California, American College of Surgeons (ACOS), and Survival, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Program required data reporting; data quality control; Cancer Conferences and follow-up; reports and special studies.

The Manager of Certified Tumor Registry CTR will manage Cancer Registry database, including installing software patches and updates and assignment of security rights to database users. The Manager of Cancer Data Services will perform regular database backups in addition to daily network server backups. Also performs other routine database maintenance chores as required.

The Manager of Tumor Data Registry will assist Oncology analyst/Programmer in compilation and quality control of data for the cancer center combined annual report. The Manager of Certified Tumor Registry will prepare clinical studies and statistical reports as requested. Manages registry staff, including Cancer Registrars and Follow-up Technicians.

The Manager of Certified Tumor Registrar CTR will represent Cancer Registry while working with Cancer Committee Chairman and the Cancer Service Line Director to insure Cancer Program meets American College of Surgeons requirements for full accreditation. The Manager of Cancer Information Management will may also be asked to serve on other special projects or committees at the affiliate and network level where cancer registry expertise is needed.
