The Business Intelligence Manager manages a team that facilitates Business Intelligence processes, procedures, development, and implementation. The manger will understand business requirements and align data and application solutions focusing on enriched outcomes. All while directly managing and mentoring a team of BI developers.

Accountabilities & Essential Functions

• Assist with processing and automating data from external sources and loading them into datasets that will support reports and dashboards.
• Provide technical training to business users.
• Ensure alignment of projects with corporate goals by monitoring, planning, prioritizing, work assignments and executing activities.
• Lead BI requirements gathering process.
• Demonstrate thought leadership across a comprehensive range of data sources
• Develop and prepare strategies for Business Intelligence processes for the organization.
• Perform analysis on organization processes and provide appropriate solutions.
• Evaluate the data architecture landscape and provide suggestions to scale for growth.
• Supervise Business Intelligence projects and manage the request intake, timelines, and communication.
• Analyze data quality and make recommendations for data preparation.
• Ensure the protection of sensitive data assets including personal information, corporate metrics, and code.
• Work with process development and resource teams and prepare appropriate schedules.
• Monitor work of Business Intelligence team and ensure effective implementation of all Information Technology projects to achieve all client objectives.
• Develops and maintains a productive work teams by hiring qualified personnel, training, and managing performance.
• Manages teams with integrity, ethical business practices, and in accordance with Mouser policies, procedures, and practices.
• Customarily and regularly directs the work of two or more full-time employees or their equivalent. Makes suggestions and recommendation for these employees regarding performance, including hiring, transfer, advancement, and termination.
• Manages daily operations to meet department and company objectives.
• Works with minimum supervision and makes independent judgments.
• Flexible to meet the changing needs of the business and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments.
• Initiates, establishes and maintains highly effective relationships with internal and external business contacts of various cultures, and at all levels.
• Extremely confidential and trustworthy.
• Demonstrates knowledge, experience and understanding of critical job function of the team and people management.
• Assists management with development of results oriented strategies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skills:

• Strong knowledge in traditional relational database concepts and design
• Fluent in SQL scripting, database design, and query optimization
• Advanced querying knowledge and ability to troubleshoot data issues
• Strong knowledge and understanding of data warehousing
• Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, especially with technical analysis (including understanding internal documents)
• Familiarity with dashboard visualization, data manipulation, data engineering and working with large data sets
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues

Experience

• 2 years of experience leading a data team (ETL and BI Developers)
• 3 years of advanced report deign experience with QlikSense and Cognos Analytics
• At least 1 year of solutions architecture delivery
• JSON, XML, HTML data structure experience preferred
• Cloud Based database experience preferred SnowFlake
• Server and application administration experience, a plus
