Position Summary

The Manager of Projects, Programs, and Application Services will plan, execute, monitor, control, and close one more simultaneous projects/programs. They will also manage problems, and/or project or program portfolios - assessing project or program needs against financial, human resources, strategic goal, and other criteria and constraints to optimize the portfolio.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit project/program charters to functional director/executive sponsor.
• Prepare a project or program plan addressing scope, cost, schedule, quality, and human resources.
• Execute, monitor, and control projects and programs.
• Ensure all deliverables have been realized in accordance with customer requirements and quality standards.
• Prepare and submit project and program closure documents for review.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent computer skills - including working knowledge of electronic mail, word processing, and web navigation.
• Ability to navigate online web-based information resources - including university knowledge base, online calendars, and webpages.
• Knowledge of all primary desktop software supported by the university, ability to consult with users at all levels of knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills - oral and written. Positive customer service attitude.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Project or Program Management, Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• At least four years work experience is preferred.
• Project or Program Management profession credentials is preferred.
