Job Title: Manager of Special Events
Status: Full-time/Exempt
Reports to: VP of Development
Annual Salary: $52,000 - $55,000

General Purpose:
For more than 100 years, Easterseals Colorado, a non-profit, has served as an indispensable resource for individuals with disabilities, veterans, seniors, and their families. Being a manager of special events for Easterseals Colorado would mean helping an organization execute public events and/or performances and ensure that they positively project the image of the organization and are carried out the event for. The position would have flexible work arrangements by working in the central office in Lakewood, remotely, and onsite at events.

A Manager of Special Events with Easterseals Colorado

• Brainstorms and implements event plans and concepts
• Handles budgeting and invoicing
• Finds and books venues
• Negotiates sponsorship deals
• Handles logistics
• Routinely updates senior management
• Works with marketing to manage the branding and communication for each event
• Develops event feedback surveys

Qualifications:

• Organizational skills to rely on process and method
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing events
• Ability to interact and build a rapport by possessing great communication skills
• Networking abilities to include vendors, photographers, bands, videographers, etc.
• Client-first approach – making sure what is wanted is done to make people happy
• Proven ability to multitask

Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force on a consistent basis, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to transfer individuals.
