The World Surf League connects millions of fans across the globe to live competition and surf related content through our own and operated website and apps. WSL is looking for a Manager, Partnership Marketing to serve as a key member of the Partnership/Account Management team and report into the VP, Partner Activation. This team member will be responsible for maximizing the relationships with the existing or on-boarded Global + North American partnerships with the highest level of consultative customer service.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Takes responsibility for assigned client relationships and actively seeks new campaigns and business from existing clients in partnership with the sales team.
  • Management of all internal documentation and shared folders - ensuring key deliverable documents (team calendar, wrap report templates, tracker, briefing docs, etc) are updated in real time and shared internally, ensuring flawless team communication.
  • Initiates interactive business conversations with key decision makers around new or emerging issuing opportunities with focus on revenue retention, up-selling and renewals.
  • Continuously reviews client and market landscape and recommend, develop, and implement new and creative approaches to ensure client and WSL business objectives are met.
  • Becomes a product expert to articulate and communicate reporting to clients in a narrative fashion.
  • Assists in developing creative and unique digital / social campaigns on behalf of the WSL and assigned clients involving key influencers, professional surfers, etc, along with measuring ROI of campaigns
  • Works closely with a large diverse team to achieve revenue targets and increase market share within a client.

Assist our Manager, Partnerships Activation in managing the Partner reporting process which includes:

  • Manage the relationship with third party reporting vendors including Nielsen & Hookit.
  • Manage reporting process and data collection with internal WSL teams including: Marketing, Social, Broadcast and Analytics.
  • Pull custom broadcast integrations from ClipPro following each event.
  • Update partnership logos and information across Nielsen and Hookit systems.
  • Gather and send Nielsen audience information in a timely manner post events.
  • Build out and manage post event reporting templates.
  • Manage internal delivery timelines with internal teams and third party vendors.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with the partnerships team to review post event reporting metrics for each event.

Qualifications:

  • Deep business experience with related account management experience in the media/sports/agency/entertainment industry
  • Demonstrated track record of managing multiple relationships successfully
  • Excellent strategic thinking and analysis skills and a proven track record of creating solutions to drive client loyalty and grow revenue
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships with all levels including executive management
  • Ability to think creatively and act swiftly on potential opportunities for partnership and branding benefit
  • Ability to manage and grow internal and external cross functional relationships and partnerships
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in similar role(s)
  • Knowledge of digital media business and production desired
  • Strong computer skills, e.g. Google suite + Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new computer programs/tools.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 based on relevant experience
