Job Description:
The Payroll Manager will report to OneOncology’s Sr. Payroll Manager. This role will be an active part of the payroll processing team, ensuring pay is processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Works to ensure payroll staff recognizes the team as an actively contributing partner in achieving the strategic goals and objectives of OneOncology.
  • Leads, develops, and supports direct reports by ensuring team members have the appropriate skills and support to accomplish their objectives, and provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Leads the completion of bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll processing for multiple entities and off cycle payments as needed; reviews all payroll reports for accuracy and detection of problems.
  • Leverages business knowledge/payroll systems expertise and collaborates with the payroll team to recommend, develop, and implement process improvements.
  • Responds to employees’ and managers’ payroll-related questions in a manner that supports OneOncology’s culture of open communications and drive for excellence in customer service.
  • Coordinates and/or completes payroll adjustments as needed to correct employee’s payroll issues
  • Collaborates with the payroll and integrations teams to onboard new oncology practices and convert to Workday payroll system
  • Assists Accounting/Finance to provide internal and external auditors with information as requested
  • Supports the payroll tax analyst in making tax deposits and filing of quarterly/annual tax reports and year end processing and distribution of W-2’s
Key Competencies
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, FLSA, employment laws, and tax laws and regulations
  • Multi-state, multi-entity (FEIN) tax reconciliation, depositing and reporting experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Workday payroll software preferred
  • Knowledge of garnishment and levy processing
  • Experience with payroll systems conversions
  • Commitment to confidentiality and passion for data integrity and accuracy in all matters

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll as supervisor/manager required.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
