BYU Marriott Recruiting Operations Manager, Business Career Center

Join us at BYU Marriott School of Business as we work together to build Christlike leaders. As manager of our recruiting operations, you'll participate in creating career development and recruitment strategies for our Business Career Center (BCC).

Job Summary BCC Operation Manager reports to the Assistant Dean responsible for all the pre-business, graduate, and undergraduate career development and placement services for the BYU Marriott School of Business. The BCC Operations Manager is directly responsible for managing the recruiting operations, BCC marketing & communications, student club operations, recruiter data analytics and reporting, and the center’s reception area for the BYU Marriott School of Business. This position directly supervises up to forty students and manages the recruiting engagement with over 200 companies and the logistics for over 1,000 on-campus events.

Essential Functions:

Directly manages the recruiting operations for over 200 companies and over 1,000 on-campus recruiting and other types of events

  • Act as primary point of contact for companies’ recruiters and corporate management teams
  • Assists recruiters on how to navigate the Handshake online recruiting system
  • Help recruiters schedule and plan information sessions, interview schedules and job postings
  • Support companies in promoting jobs and coordinate other on-campus recruiting events
  • Schedule and manage onsite interviews between recruiters and students
  • Proactively and professionally communicate with recruiters, students and faculty about on-campus recruiting events and other recruiter needs
  • Collaborate closely with BYU Marriott Employer Engagement Manager and Career Service Directors in hosting recruiters and other professionals participating in on-campus recruiting or other career-related events
  • Co-manage with the BYU Marriott Employer Engagement Manager the recruiter engagement pipeline to ensure a positive experience for recruiters

Manage all the administrative responsibilities of student staff

  • Responsible for hiring, evaluating, developing and provide administrative support for direct and indirect employees
  • Oversee the budgeting process and expenditures for the Corporate Engagement team
  • Direct the deployment of student resources

Develops and implements all Business Career Center marketing and communications

  • Develops and implement all marketing campaigns to promote awareness and utilization of the Business Career Center
  • Manage all the graphic and content development of the career website branded Career Launch

Manages all the data analytics, reporting and process improvement

  • Engineers date collection processes and publishes statistics
  • Collect relevant data through Handshake, Qualtrics, and Google Analytics
  • Create accessible and interpretive graphics through tableau for each team
  • Maintain and update weekly reports of all KPI’s to build awareness on team performances
  • Help each team evaluate performance and provide recommendations for specific areas of improvement
  • Work with team directors to improve and streamline business processes by creating and managing projects

Manages all the scheduling, authorization and coordination for BYU Marriott Student sponsored student club events

  • Act as primary point of contact for professional club event directors within the BYU Marriott School of Busineses
  • Train club event directors on how to navigate systems to request event assistance
  • Master and stay align with campus-wide policies
  • Oversee approval and progress of/schedule and manage BYU Marriott club events

Minimum education/experience required: Bachelor’s degree (business or related degrees)

Preferred: Master’s degree (business or related degree)

Years of related experience: Minimum: 5 years of experience in business operations or higher education administration

Required Skills:

  • Comfortable using the latest technology, recruiting systems and career development tools
  • Skilled in project management and conducting data analysis
  • Effectively communicate via email or other communication systems
  • Experienced in collaborating across organizations to achieve stated objectives
  • Ability to work well with others

Approximate Starting Salary: $57,000 - $74,000 DOQ
