Manager, Resource Planning & Time Administration

The Manager, Resource Planning sets the long-term staffing plan and oversees the productivity performance of McGee system wide. This role establishes goals and direction to execute ground-related planning, staffing and productivity for future growth and stability of the operations. They will coach and guide a group of peer leaders and direct reports. This person will be accountable through their team to constantly deliver on customer key performance indicators (KPIs). While building a collaborative team, who creates a culture of mutual respect and teamwork, while ensuring safety and service are fundamental operational priority.

  • Leads the systemwide resource planning/time administration functions. Executes the development and implementation of the long/short term staffing plans for all McGee frontline functions.
  • Drives efficient and accurate use of team resources including partnering with the station leaders and our customers in resource planning processes
  • Manages systemwide call out/overtime awards/solicitation and attendance administration functions
  • Leads the management and administration of consistent schedule bidding for all McGee stations.
  • Drives each stations' staffing analysis and planning capability; remaining connected to our stations leaders to anticipate upcoming and future staffing needs.
  • Responsible for conducting regular analysis to ensure training/hiring capacity is sufficient to support McGee's growth plans.
  • Develops auditing tools and systems to ensure we are holding everyone accountable to remaining fair, consistent, and equitable.
  • Coordinates and works with McGee Leaders and customers to ensure alignment with productivity and performance expectations.
  • Consult with union leadership to address resource, staff planning and time administration issues, and quickly resolves to maintain strong and effective working relationships.

  • Perform additional duties as required for the success of the business.

Do you have these tools to be successful?

  • Two years of training oversight/management required
  • Previous supervisory experience effectively coaching and mentoring teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and online research tools required
  • Proven experience in designing and executing successful training programs
  • Familiarity with Learning Management System preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish positive, professional rapport with teammates
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, highly fluid environment
  • Team-oriented and flexible in approach to change and type of work assigned
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; BS in education or relevant field preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Sound, strategic thinker with a track record of demonstrating good judgement, strong business acumen, and executing plans with a sense of urgency and a mind for safety.
  • Skilled at making and defending tough decisions, while demonstrating care and concern for the opinions of others, both inside and outside the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence change and initiate actions that drive results.
  • An active and effective leader that communicates well with her/his team to motivate and develop staff with the genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast -paced environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance, customs seal, and/or USPS security clearance including background criminal history check, drug screen and fingerprinting
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
