Must have experience in parts, counter sales, auto parts knowledge - willing be looking up parts, data entry, $18.00

Job Description:

The Bill of Materials (BOM) Tech is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining Product codes and Bills of Materials to support order management, manufacturing, material requirements and costs.

Duties:

· Creates and maintains BOMs of new products

· Creates and maintains new part identification and status

· Sends request for quotes for products to suppliers including Europe and Asia

· Understands and is adept at using automotive component catalogs

· Understands basics of engineering drawings and specifications.

· Ensures that the BOM is complete and accurate

· Work in conjunction with Purchasing Manager to set costing for new material 

· Research of existing/available parts

· Implement product improvement changes

Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· 1-3 years Bill of Materials (BOM) experience preferred

· Auto parts knowledge

Qualifications and Skills:

· High level of proficiency in MS Excel.

· Organizational skills.

Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.

· Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, parentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Hours:

7:00 am – 4:00 pm M-F

This position and will require overtime as determined by individual project requirements. This may include evenings and weekends.
