ESCO’s Manufacturing Supervisor is an integral member of the leadership team. This role leads, coordinates, and oversees daily operations in Melting and Finishing departments, with accountability for safety, quality, productivity, equipment, training, production targets, cost, and morale.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
  • Actively engage in safety improvements, building a culture of safety; coach and model safe behaviors, respect for environment, and 6S behaviors; perform accident and incident investigations
  • Participate in Lean events, focusing on process management and safety
  • Lead team in daily manufacturing operations; initiate plans and processes that minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital
  • Achieve business objectives and production schedules while insuring product standards Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure the facility supports Lean Manufacturing
  • Perform regular audits and weekly observation within the site to ensure adherence to standards
  • Utilize systematic problem solving on complex problems and coach across all levels Develop, maintain, and assist with advance ESCO quality systems, procedures, and practices
  • Actively participates in development of team members, acts as coach and mentor
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in helping foster company safety culture
  • Understand and enforce ESCO policy and lead by example
  • Lead and develop team problem solving and targeted metrics in the department
  • Assist in enforcing quality management system compliant with ISO and ESCO Business Systems
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: 3+ years manufacturing experience as a senior Team Leader or supervisor
  • Experience:
  • Foundry Experience highly desired, but not required.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to work flexible hours as business needs require
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Additional requirements include analytical problem-solving aptitude; appropriate interpersonal skills (including leadership level), with ability to handle difficult situations and conflicts; exceptional change management skills to positively coach and motivate the team to move beyond status quo toward the successful achievement of goals.
