Job description

The Marine Services Technician/Installer at Carolina Bow Thruster works in-the-field, typically in tandem with another technician, on bow and stern thruster installations and a wide variety of other marine services. Technicians provide excellent customer service while displaying a high level of skill and technical competency.

Do you have automotive technician experience? Techs with this background have successfully made the transition to this job.

Must have fiberglass fabrication experience

Duties and Responsibilities

• Bow and stern thruster installation and service
• Fiberglass fabrication
• Electrical system installation and troubleshooting
• Hydraulic systems work
• Windlass system installation and service

Experience/Skills/Knowledge

• Must have general knowledge of and experience with fiberglass work
• Minimum 1 year experience in the field of marine services
• Experience on the water with general knowledge of power and sail boats/yachts
• Proficient and skilled in working with a variety of power tools
• Working knowledge of DC/AC systems
• Ability to troubleshoot issues on multi-system platforms
• Excellent communication skills
• Organized with a petulance for accuracy
• Ability to work independently and complete jobs on time
• Desire to work with your hands in a highly technical field

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
