The Marketing Specialist opportunity will be onsite from our Corporate Headquarters located in Indianapolis, IN. POSITION SUMMARY:
The marketing and communications specialist will be involved in the generation of written materials including case studies, product documents, promotional materials, and internal communication. This position will also be responsible for coordination of a wide range of tasks and projects with the opportunity for new responsibilities as the company continues to grow.

RESPONSBILITIES:

• Lead and support projects to promote Walker’s services and solutions.
• Work with Walker consultants to write thought leadership materials that assist our clients and increase our reputation externally.
• Document case studies, client success stories, newsletters, and other materials to promote Walker services and solutions.
• Develop content and processes to ensure Walker’s website is up-to-date with our most current material.
• Apply marketing knowledge and skills to help build the Walker brand, recruit new business, retain our customers, and enhance communication within our company.
• Provide creative services to include writing, layout design, project coordination.
• Lead and support Walker’s internal communication strategies.
• Lead and support planning and execution of Walker employee events.
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing, communication, or related fields.
• 1-2 years experience in writing promotional copy for website content, brochures, etc.
• 1-2 years experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadline.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Exceptional writing skills to generate a wide variety of marketing materials.
• Ability to work with various individuals and teams at Walker to gather their insights and document concepts and information.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees throughout the organization.
• Experience with Microsoft products, with particular expertise in PowerPoint.
• Experience in layout/graphic design and/or video production with the Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, etc.) and WordPress is a big plus.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and projects at once.
• Creativity and enthusiasm.
