Absolute Biotech unites multiple antibody-centric brands into a single organization specializing in antibody reagents, kits and services. We offer a wide selection of catalog reagents, as well as custom antibody sequencing, engineering and recombinant expression services. Our global client base includes pharmaceutical, biotech and diagnostic companies, as well as academic institutions. Our mission is to serve as “antibody curators” for customers worldwide, treating each antibody like a work of art to deliver unique and absolutely defined reagents that empower scientists.
Location: Absolute Biotech has offices in Boston, MA; Shirley, MA; Seattle, WA; and the UK and the Netherlands. This position is remote, but you must be based in the US.
What will you do?
The Marketing Communications Specialist will execute marketing plans to support all areas of the Absolute Biotech portfolio. This role will manage and track the performance of our marketing communications activities, ensuring a cohesive message is delivered across all Absolute Biotech channels. The role will report directly to our Senior Director of Marketing and work closely with our Product Marketing Managers to ensure that the appropriate market segments and portfolio products are highlighted in our marketing campaigns.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Manage company’s digital marketing activities, including e-newsletters and other email campaigns, blogs, and social media channels (LinkedIn and Twitter)
- Manage company’s presence at US and European scientific conferences, including material development, printing and shipping; managing exhibitor logistics; and developing strategies and content to promote our attendance. Potential to travel to several conferences per year
- Manage the company’s Google Ads, online product listing sites, and other paid advertising
- Manage the company’s lead generation campaigns, including webinars, gated content, and various programs with third-party life science media partners
- Develop new marketing literature, such as brochures, fliers and case studies
- Perform regular website updates using WordPress or a similar platform
- Coordinate with IT team to analyze web traffic and SEO, and provide recommendations for continued growth
- Assist with company usage of SalesForce to track leads and marketing campaigns
- Contribute to strategic marketing plans to streamline our individual brands’ digital channels and marketing programs into one cohesive approach
- Develop metric reports to review the effectiveness of marketing communications activities and analyze opportunities for improvements, using programs such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SalesForce and Hootsuite
- Other duties and tasks may be assigned
Who are you?
The ideal candidate will have experience in working in the life sciences industry especially working with antibodies. You will have marketing experience particularly with digital marketing and/or tradeshow coordination. You like to generate marketing content and share your creative marketing ideas with the team. It excites you to work with scientific/technical staff that develop our products and services, and you are eager to learn more about the science behind our offerings. You are looking to be part of a growing company that strives to create and provide highly innovative products and services.
Minimum job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or in any Life Science (i.e. Chemistry or Biology)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in marketing communications
- Minimum 3 years 'experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Google Ads, email marketing software, SalesForce and/or HootSuite
- Great organization and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
- Excellent (English) written and verbal communication skills.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities, if applicable.
- Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
