MASTER SOCCER COACH

Location: East Otis, Massachusetts
Dates: 1 or 2 weeks (5.5 working days each week) between Late June and August
Compensation: approx. $800-$1200 per week (DOE) plus travel stipend

Camp Description: The Berkshire Soccer Academy is a private overnight soccer camp for girls. We offer an elite
training experience for girls, ages 10-16, in a traditional camp setting on a private lake in the Berkshires.

Scope of Work: The Master Soccer Coach works at the Academy for 1 or 2 consecutive weeks of soccer camp. The
Master Coach functions under the Soccer Director and is responsible for planning and implementing up to two 90-
minute soccer training sessions daily for up to 30 players. Master Coaches lead and develop 1 Head Coach and up
to 4 Assistant Coaches that assist him/her on the field. Master Coaches may also be asked to lead 1-2 small group
trainings a week when needed. Master Coaches live in comfortable staff housing.

Job Qualifications based on our Service Standards:
v Must have a USSF “C” license or equivalent or higher.
v Must have at least 5 years experience coaching competitive girls’/womens’ soccer.
v Must have proven experience in staff management, specifically utilizing a team of assistant coaches during

training sessions.
v Must understand the differences of a soccer camp environment from a team/club environment.
v Must have proven success in impacting and connecting with players quickly and easily.
v Must bring energy and positivity to the camp environment, on and off the field.
v Must be prepared to live in a rustic setting with limited access to some amenities.
v Past summer camp experience, a plus.

with others on and off the soccer field.

• Must have proven experience as a positive role model to kids and peers.
  • Must be able to demonstrate optimism and flexibility in the face of adversity.
