Essential Duties / Responsibilities

• Consistently handle “great tasting” sausage products according to specifications
• Prepare equipment for use by utilizing detailed checklists for inspection and assembly
• Perform periodic wash-downs of equipment
• Use SAP software functions for the department
• Maintain the highest standards of detail as it relates to product specifications and quality
• Ability to perform responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner
• Comply with USDA regulations, GMP, and safety rules at all times
• Ability to communicate effectively with the team and work toward a goal without direct supervision
• Work together with other departments to obtain world class results
• Actively participate in daily meetings and project teams
• Willingness to work overtime as production demands
• Complete all other duties as assigned

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience / Skills

• Ability to take ownership of own and other Members’ safety
• Experience working in a shipping/warehouse/manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated communication and listening skills and ability
• Ability to drive members development and help them utilize their God given talents
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve effectively and efficiently
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to involve others in the decision-making process (team player)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible by adjusting priorities
• Set high expectations for yourself and your team members
• Ability to work safely from elevated platforms and lifts

• Ability to work in a cold environment
• Ability to work at a pace consistent with the process flow
• Basic computer skills required
• Proven ability to multi-task

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 60 pounds
• Walking and/or Standing throughout the shift
• Bending and/or Reaching throughout the shift
• Willingness to work in cold conditions

• Ability to pass a pre-employment, post offer drug screen, physical and background check
