Job Description

AEL-Span/Walker SCM is looking for a Material Handler for our operation in Enfield, North Carolina. We are looking for the right person who shares our philosophy of Operational Excellence on a daily basis. AEL-SPAN’s primary objective is to deliver the right part, to the right place, at the right time.

Summary of Position
Perform all activities relating to warehouse auditing, receiving, shipping, inventory control, repacking, housekeeping and all tasks assigned by supervisory personnel pertaining to daily warehousing activities. Responsible for operating and managing PIV for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks as assigned by Manager/Supervisor
• Provide the highest quality service for overall customer satisfaction
• Perform assigned activities with the required quality standards
• Adhere to customer requirements
• Visually inspect shipments/product (as required within work area) for potential damage
• Safely operate forklift equipment
• Assist in all processes as needed
• Obey all safety rules and requirements
• Schedule efficient and adequate support for all warehouse activities
• Count and audit inventory to ensure accurate material stock levels
• Report any operating supply shortages to Warehouse Manager/Supervisor
• Verify equipment/work tools are performing in optimal conditions
• Ensure safety is never compromised
• Keep work area clean and orderly

Preferred

• Knowledge of warehouse operations

Required

• Reach Truck (stand-up hilo) experience
• High School Diploma, or GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Comfortable with heights
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English
• Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
