Job description

Function as Maternal Health RN: Responsibilities include: Providing support to the Women's Healthcare Provider / Nurse Midwife . Provide pregnacy care as well as all other aspects of maternla care.

• Triage, complete intake and basic health assessments and screening on patients according to Care Alliance protocols
• Assist with procedures such as pelvic exams, IUD insertion and coposcopies
• Education and treatment of STD'a
• Assist Provider in delivering pre and post-natal care
• Assist in conducting Centering groups
• Maintain accurate health care records, maintaining confidentiality
• Maintain medications and medical supplies
• Work and communicate with diverse populations, including clients, staff and volunteers
• Work collaboratively with other Care Alliance health professionals to facilitate a team approach to patient management
• Prepare patients for their treatments
• Work independently within the scope of nursing practice

Minimum Education and Experience:

Required:

• Registered nurse with current Ohio licensure
• Minimum two years’ experience; maternal health, primary care,
• Outpatient, community health and/or pediatric nursing experience highly desired
• Excellent clinical skills
• Familiarity with health issues including chronic illnesses, and communicable diseases
• Experience managing multiple tasks and producing expected results
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to the mission of Care Alliance

Valid Ohio driver’s license, insurance and transportation

• Current Ohio Registered Nurse License (Active)
• Strong computer skills
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) (EPIC)
