Founded in 2001, LEARN is a network of high-performing college preparatory, tuition-free public elementary and middle schools with the mission of providing children with the academic foundation and ambition to earn a college degree. There are 11 LEARN Schools serving 4,100 students in grades PK-8 across Chicago, Waukegan, North Chicago, and Washington, D.C.

ABOUT OPPORTUNITY
Network Math Specialist organizes, integrates, serves as key leaders for LEARN Charter School Network mathematics programs of instruction for all students. Math Specialist report to the Chief School Officer as a member of the Teaching and Learning Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/OUTCOMES
· Lead, in conjunction with Teaching and Learning Team, the development, implementation, refinement, and assessment of math programs.
· Lead, in conjunction with Teaching and Learning Team the LEARN Algebra for all initiative from the strategic plan
· Lead professional development for leaders and teachers on embedding CCSS mathematical practices, developing strong math learning tasks, and increasing teacher confidence in content and pedagogy.
· Assist in the analysis of student assessment data for the purpose of continuous improvement for leaders and teachers
· Assist leaders and teachers develop appropriate scaffolding for tier one math instruction
· Assist leaders and teachers develop appropriate small group systems and interventions
FISCAL MANAGEMENT
· Provide recommendations for secondary math supports via curricula or web-based programs
· Assist in grant applications and grant reporting
ADMINISTRATION
· Building and managing effective relationships with internal and external partners
· Maintains a presence at all 11 campuses
THIS JOB IS A GREAT FIT IF:
· You have a bachelor’s degree, math certified, and algebra endorsed
· You have a minimum of 3-5 years of high-level teaching or instructional coach
· You can demonstrate leadership and support of adult learners around improving rigorous math instruction
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
