McBain (Michigan) Fuel Yard Operation Technician
Job description
Viking Energy seeks a hardworking Fuel Yard Operation Technician for its McBain facility. Must be punctual and able to operate various machinery, as well as have mechanical and electrical ability to work on that equipment.
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operating skid steers, wood grinders and front-end loaders
- Perform preventive, corrective maintenance and preform basic electrical checks on skid steers, wood grinders and front-end loaders.
- Loading and unloading ties in a fast-paced environment
- Power tool and equipment operation
- Collaboration with team members in a structured environment
- Consistent and accurate work quality
- Filling out daily paperwork and working independently
- Wearing personal protective equipment is required
- All candidates must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
POSITION-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:
- Able to work long hours in all weather conditions, work some Saturdays
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Completely and accurately fill out daily paperwork
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Follow all Safety Programs, Policies, and Procedures
