Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be at the forefront of evaluating threat system hardware, and will work with technological leaders in this challenging and rewarding environment that will develop your technical and leadership skills.

What You'll Be Doing:

• P rovide technical support for reverse engineering; test hardware assembly and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) testing of foreign equipment
• Analyze missile systems and subsystems
• Produce CAD models and threat system documentation
• Develop techniques and apply leading edge forensic technology

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university with 2+ years of experience
• Ability to maintain a TS clearance
• Ability to reverse engineer mechanical components in various states, determine their composition and purpose
• Ability to work as a team with electrical and software engineers to determine systems-based assessments
• Assist in developing CAD models (NX) from physical hardware
• Determine material compositions using various tools and engineering methods
• Candidate must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical instructions
• Ability to draft detailed drawings/sketches and technical reporting
  

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with design, analysis, and/or modeling of weapon systems
• Experience conducting finite element analysis FEA of mechanical structures
• Experience with Python, C++, MATLAB or LabView
• Experience with additive and subtractive prototyping
• Experience reverse engineering mechanical components and assemblies from existing drawings or existing hardware
• Experience with test setup, data recovery, and data analysis for use in lethality prediction modeling
• Active U.S. security clearance

Salary Range:

$68,400.00 - $119,700.00
