Position Summary: Our Dermatology department has an opening for a part-time Medical Assistant/Scribe. This position will be for our Lehi location. Must be able to work Tuesday and Wednesday 7 am - 5 pm. Come join our positive, fun, interesting, and fast-paced medical environment. Essential Job Functions:

• Escorts patients to examination rooms, interviews patient and ensures all pertinent information is recorded and available to the provider.
• Maintains clean and orderly exam rooms.
• Ensures exam rooms are properly stocked with needed supplies and equipment.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments following clinic policy and procedures.
• Calls results and relays messages to patients as indicated by a provider in a prompt and courteous manner
• Creates and maintains tasks and documents all patient interactions
• Call/Fax/eScribe prescriptions per protocol
• Other duties as needed to maintain excellent patient care

Qualifications:

• Past experience in medical transcription and an MA certification is preferred but not required
• Previous experience with electronic medical records and medical terminology is very beneficial
• Must have outstanding customer service, organization, and attention to detail
• Must also be a self-starter, team player, dependable, friendly and professional
• Be able to multi-task and work efficiently
• CPR certification required upon hire

Hours: Tuesday and Wednesday 7 am - 5 pm.
