We are a busy physician-run Diagnostic Imaging Center, dedicated to providing the absolute best in patient care. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow up of all outstanding insurance claim
• Posting of electronic and manual insurance payments from paper checks and insurance portals.
• Process and post patient payments.
• Examine claims records and forms to determine whether the patient has medical insurance.
• Review denials and submit corrected claims when appropriate.
• Insurance eligibility verification.
• Handle patient phone calls and resolve patient billing questions.
• Create claims charges manually for reading services.
• Complete logs, reports, forms and records to properly document medical claims
• Follow up with Doctors and other clinical staff for any missing information as it pertains to billing
• Explain benefits or answer any other insurance related questions from patients.
• Account reviews for missed charges, duplicate payments and unbilled procedures
• Analyze, prepare and mail patient statements, implement and follow up on patient payment plans and collect patient balances.
• Resolve any patient complaints in a professional and courteous manner. Prepare accounts for collection agency that have been deemed non-collectible.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Excellent customer service skills; communicates clearly and effectively

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience in a medical practice business office

• We are cleaning/sterilizing all patient areas very frequently and allow for distance between our patients

Experience:

• ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical billing: 1 year (Required)
• Medical coding: 1 year (Required)

Language:

• Bilingual, Polish or Spanish (Preferred)
