We are looking for experienced Medical Assistants with a minimum of 3 years clinical or administrative experience working within a physician’s office, medical center, hospital or laboratory to join our team.

The Medical Assistant Instructor is responsible for teaching courses described in the Medical Assistant program each cycle. This includes utilizing effective teaching tools such as audio/visual equipment and reference materials; preparing lesson plans and learning experiences; following an established course outline; managing a classroom of students; evaluating students through testing and other related means and reporting on and recording class and individual student progress. Some courses are taught online and some courses are taught both in-person and online.

Requirements:

• Possess a credential in the field of medical assisting through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or has a current RMA (AMT) or CMA (AAMA) credential.
• 3+ years clinical and or administrative experience working within a physician’s office
• Possess an Associate’s Degree or greater in the healthcare field
• Previous teaching experience in the healthcare field is preferred
• Knowledge of CANVAS Learning Management System is preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word a plus
• An ability to learn new methodologies and systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Teaching experience a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
