Emergency Room Medical Clerk at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital.
This contract position offers:Ind.Other
Full-time position (36-40 hours /week)- 10 Paid Holidays

Job Requirements:
The Medical Clerk will have the following requirements:
High school diploma- At least 1 year of administrative experience, preferably with medical records
- At least 6 months of experience within the last year working in a medical environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have flexible availability. Days/Evenings/Nights/Weekends/Holidays will all be required.
Job Duties
- Receives patients, visitors, and telephone calls into the Emergency Department.
- Obtain identifying information and determines the nature of the visit/ call.
- Review all database information for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Ensure required forms/documents are completed appropriately.
- Alternates duty days between the Registration Desk, Floater Desk and the ED Treatment Area (nursing station).
- Maintain positive customer service
