The Role
This flexible role may be for you if you are interested in expanding your expertise in telemedicine mental health care for a few hours each week. We are looking for a primary care or psychiatry physician to conduct light-weight patient evaluations for short-term leave based on their mental health. There is no chronic or acute disease management, treatment, medication plans, etc. required in this role, only an objective evaluation of the patient. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of behavioral health, curiosity to deepen their skills in mental health evaluations for short-term leave from work, as well as comfort with technology-enabled tools.
In This Role You Will Also:
- Conduct a 60-minute mental health evaluation over live video
- Complete light-weight paperwork that outlines your objective findings and recommendation
- Work in a collaborative care environment alongside Lyra’s physicians and therapists
- Regularly consult with an expert psychiatrist
- Have the opportunity to contribute to company-wide efforts to innovate and grow
Role Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Unrestricted license in California
- Strong interest in, and passion for, mental health: No prior experience in short-term leave evaluations is required, ample training will be provided
- Comfortable using technology to deliver care virtually
- Able to dedicate 5-10 hours total across 2-5 days per week
