Job description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Mental Health Therapist (Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker) to join The Collective, which is uniquely integrated with a local primary care organization. This role will be based out of our Gaithersburg and/or Frederick, MD locations (Washington, D.C. metro area).

About The Role

  • Provide high quality, compassionate, and ethical therapy (both individual and group sessions) in collaboration with The Collective’s multidisciplinary Clinical Care Team.
  • Participate in weekly clinical team meetings discussing treatment formulation, progress, regress and/or failure; lead discharge planning, discharge summaries, follow-up care and liaison communication.
  • Contribute to a positive, high-performing culture, focused on partnering with members of the Clinical Team and patients as we inspire and empower change.
  • Assist and participate in clinician recruiting and development efforts as needed.
  • Adhere to all aspects of the clinical program’s policies and procedures to ensure quality performance and assist the Clinical Director in any quality improvements that may be necessary.
  • Conduct client utilization reviews and medical necessity discussions with insurance payers, if necessary.
  • Fulfill responsibilities related to all aspects of your allocated caseload, clinical documentation, timely entries into the treatment record, and maintain compliance with standards for documentation.

Qualifications

  • Independent Maryland state licensure highly preferred (e.g. PhD/PsyD, LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
  • 2+ years of relevant behavioral health experience in providing treatment to children, adolescent, and/or adults is highly preferred
  • Outpatient and/or private practice experience is highly preferred
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, a positive attitude, effective leadership abilities, and a passion for patient care and clinical excellence
  • Must value current evidence-based clinical practice and culturally-sensitive care
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
