SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Mid-Level Engineering Technician.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: Under general supervision of an Engineering Technician IV and/or Engineering Technical Lead, the Mid-Level Engineering Technician performs a wide range of standardized technical activities related to the production, prototyping, testing, installation, troubleshooting, upgrading and optimization of Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES) on a variety of military platforms. The role will perform work in a laboratory environment and/or in the field, and are often experienced users of a particular system.

Specific tasks may include:

  • Read assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, or engineering instructions for mechanical and electrical assembly of electronic warfare, antenna, and payload systems.
  • Build prototypes from rough sketches or plans.
  • Test electronics units using standard test equipment and analyze results to evaluate performance.
  • Write reports or record data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment, or specifications to assist engineers.
  • Research equipment or component needs, sources, competitive prices, delivery times, or ongoing operational costs.
  • Maintain working knowledge of state-of-the-art tools or software by reading or attending conferences, workshops, or other training.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma / GED / Vocational School Diploma required. Technical School Diploma desired. Advanced submarine technical training (e.g. Navy ā€œAā€ or ā€œCā€ School) can be substituted for a degree.

Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience required.

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Standard Offices and Electronics Assembly & Testing Labs: Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting. In the Laboratory setting, significant use of small hand and electrical tools that require fine motor skills. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs., occasional twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling and squatting. Some potential exposure to fumes associated with soldering.
