Job description

Fluor has an immediate opening for a Millwright Machinist at a recycled cardboard/linerboard manufacturing facility in Montville, CT. This position will perform millwright job duties in a team environment and requires ability to work flexible hours as needed and be available for call-ins as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Comply with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs.
• Position requires mechanical aptitude to perform technical and general maintenance work on a variety of pumps (i.e. centrifugal, injector, diaphragm, etc.), motors, equipment, systems, air handlers, domestic water, chilled water, hot water, high temperature hot water, steam, humidification, building exhaust fans, air compressors and controls.
• Perform the following duties: 1). Machining; 2). Welding; 3). Rigging; 4). Alignment
• Perform Precision Maintenance with bearings, couplings, gearboxes, seals, bushings, interference fits, torque, pumps, rotating equipment, lubrication, etc.

Experience and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5 years of preventive maintenance experience required
• 2 years of machining experience on tradition lathes and milling machines preferred
• Must have knowledge of Precision Maintenance with bearings, couplings, gearboxes, seals, bushings, shrink fits, torque, pumps, rotating equipment, lubrication, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings and manufacturers’ equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of standard and specialized maintenance practices.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
