Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic for our Francesville/Monon facilities based out of Francesville IN.

What You'll Get To Do

• Safety and proficiently perform maintenance work as assigned, including mechanical, and electrical on equipment, welding, and cutting with a torch.
• Operate various types of Mobile Equipment
• Maintain gas and diesel engines and related components on mobile equipment
• Work on and troubleshoot pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
• Reading and interpreting diagrams, prints, and schematics.
• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment for an extended period until the employee develops a good understanding of the equipment.
• Write a part list for purchase orders using related manuals.
• Proficiently use test and diagnostic equipment
• This list is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the facility.

What We Are Looking For

• Must possess a minimum high school diploma or GED. Additional technical training is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of heavy industrial mobile mechanical maintenance experience
• Must be able to work at heights
• Able to read, understand and implement written instruction
• Some welding experience desired
• Open pit mining operations and aggregate products experience preferred
• MSHA training a plus
