LSSP job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Selecting and administering assessments and observations to evaluate intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students to determine student eligibility for special education services in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Scoring and interpreting test data
- Developing psychological evaluation reports and behavior management plans
- Conducting individual, group, and family counseling sessions for students
- Serving as a consultant on mental health topics for instructors in the school health program
- Meeting with parents to discuss relevant background information and test results
