As the National Account Manager, your main priority is driving Red Bull strategy and programs with a set group of National Accounts. You will report to the Director, Value Channle and be the main owner of all business related activities and targets at national and market levels. Your main responsibilities including: overseeing budgets and results (Distribution, Price, Promotion, and Presence) at both the national and regional levels, developing productive business relationships with senior management in all assigned banners/divisions and at the customer's HQ offices, and driving Red Bull best practices by creating solutions.

  • STRATEGIC BUSINESS PLANNING AND EXECUTION

    Allocate resources where the investment has the highest payback with important customers.

    Guide the business planning and budget process for the assigned businesses.

    Monitor market trends and feed relevant consumer information to the Headquarters Insights Department.

    Reach the senior executive levels at each customer's HQ & the field-based personnel through Business Review to align Red Bull strategic goals with that of the customer.

  • IMPLEMENT RED BULL STANDARDS

    Shelf/Distribution - Executes distribution on priority packages consistent with Red Bull North America recommendations and ACV goals for each retailer. Ensure all retailer account schematics reflect Red Bull standards relative to flow, package mix, Fair Space Index, and Strike Zone.

    Price - Sells Red Bull's optimum prices by using best practices and available tools. Customize presentations to appeal to customer's needs and fulfill mutual goals. Secure pricing and promotional programs that align with Red Bull internal guidance documents.

    Promotion - Executes annual promotion schedule observing Red Bull North America's goals. Ensure all promotions are accompanied by point of sale and incremental displays.

    Presence - Evaluate Return on investment before recommending specific POS or customized solutions. Implement displays following RBNA guidelines.

  • BUDGET PLANNING



    Construct annual Customer Marketing Agreements and manage associated funds for each retailer.

    Track and evaluate Trade Investments to ensure highest return on investment.

    Guide post-promotion analysis following all programs to evaluate promotional effectiveness and display execution.

    Thoroughly analyze customers' sales to define priorities and focus for the team at both the national and regional levels.

  • MANAGE BU AND DP RELATIONSHIPS

    Establish 'Wiring Model' that ensures all BU management (Director of Key Accounts, Director of Distribution, Red Bull Distribution Company) are wired with specific Red Bull personnel that manage the HQ & BU business.

    Establish necessary tools and business review templates to ensure data consistency

    Use the input for marketing and finance experts to develop plans and conceptual sells to the retailer HQ teams.

    Coach broader account team to ensure partnerships, programs, important retail relationships, and collaborative relationships with Red Bull & Distributor Partners (DP) field personnel in each region.

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

that matter most for this role:
  • Minimum 8 years Sales and Key Account experience
  • Experience managing national chain business in grocery & convenience channels
  • Experience using internal and external data sources (i.e. Nielsen, IRI, CPM, Sales Data)
  • In-depth knowledge of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Direct Store Delivery (DSD) industry
  • Must be extremely proficient in software packages (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) & internal systems (CPM, SAP/BI)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or experience in lieu of degree
  • English, additional languages an advantage
  • Travel 40-50%
