Eldora's Premier Newspaper The Herald-Ledger is seeking a full time editor/news writer to cover news in and around Eldora and Hardin County. The successful candidate will possess creative writing skills, be able to shoot photos and an occasional video and be able to manage submitting information to social media platforms. The editor will join a team of four others covering news and sports in Hardin County and become part of a network of dozens of other news professional throughout Mid-America Publishing.
The news editor will attend various events such as chamber of commerce and city council meetings, business openings, high school fine arts events, school board meetings, local events and celebrations, and any other newsworthy happenings that may be of interest to the local community.
Requires the ability to write feature stories and interview, plus investigate news of all types in and around Hardin County.
