St. Francis provides a full spectrum of surgical services and the Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant / PA is a valued member of our world renown Open Heart Program. The Physician Assistant will provide inpatient pre and post operative care as well as first or second assist in the most advanced CT Surgical procedures performed at St. Francis Hospital main campus in Roslyn, NY and Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Islip, NY.
Hospitalist
Responsibilities:
Provides and manages the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients alongside an excellent ancillary staff with a Rapid Response Team. The successful candidate will work in a collegial and professional environment in a 7 day Block schedule. Responsibilities include: providing full or partial services to private attending physicians who elect to utilize the Hospitalist Services, attend monthly Hospitalist Meetings, get involved in quality as well as Patient Experience committees, be able to work in a team environment, be able to provide high quality care, be able to manage an average patient caseload of 15-17 patients, and able to adapt and be flexible to new CMS regulations.
Qualifications:
Doctorate degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine, ACLS/BLS Certified, trained in Family Practice or Internal Medicine and be Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Practice.
